15th Night of Sha’baan – Radio Al Ansaar

Allah Ta’ala has been so kind to us, granting us the Mubarak night of 15 Sha’ban, in which His special mercies pour down on the earth like torrential rain, and Allah Ta’ala Himself ‘descends’ to the first sky making various announcements, extending His ‘hand’ of friendship. When the Believers are in a pitiable condition, in this crisis of lockdown, the doors of the Haramain and Masajid around the world closed to them, then Allah’s mercy rushes to them like a storm! This is a beautiful opportunity to take as much as possible from His unlimited treasures; grab it and make the best of this night! Allah Ta’ala is looking for an excuse to forgive His servants. This is a night for introspection and stock-taking, to analyse our condition and evaluate our level of Iman; our love for Allah and His Rasul (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam); the quality of our Salah; our knowledge of Deen; our commitment to Zikrullah; our fulfilment of the rights of people; and the condition of our spiritual heart. Whilst decisions are being taken and lists made in the skies, let us make a solid resolution to live a life of obedience in accordance with the Sunnah. Spend the night in Ibadah, particularly Zikrullah and an abundance of Istighfar – the remedy for our difficulties. Allah has kept the door of Taubah wide open. Raise our broken ‘begging bowls’ before Him, shedding tears in sincere repentance, seeking His mercy for ourselves, our loved ones and the suffering Ummah around the world.
