⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Mining Taqwa from the Arifeen – Alcock Musallah

The Mu’min should be well informed and have the greatest awareness regarding Allah Rabbul Izzat. How sad it is that years of life go past and we remain most uninformed about the names, qualities, actions, favours and ways of operating the Universe of our Rabb, Allah SWT! Whilst it is important that a Mu’min be aware and knowledgable regarding the happenings and things of this world; however, we should not pass our life knowing about everything else, but Allah SWT! He wants that we should recognize Him – the greatest Being, the One Who gave us existence. Nabi-e-Kareem(SAW) mentioned: ‘For everything there is a mine, and the “mine” for Taqwa is the hearts’ of the Arifeen’. The first step in the Ma’rifah of Allah SWT is to implant in the heart Khalis (pure) Tauheed, by recognizing that Allah alone is in control of the entire Universe. The Mu’min then will not seek fulfillment of needs from the Makhlooq, who cannot benefit or harm except by the permission of Allah. Internationally, the Ummah is going through difficult times, where the lives of Ummatis are being taken without a whimper of protest from the world. In gratitude for the ease Allah SWT has given us, we should spend on those in need. Allah SWT has protected us in this country from calamities due to the charitable nature of the Muslim Community. Whilst we may be lacking in Amaal, Akhlaaq, Taqwa, Ibadah; let us at least excel in Khairaat! We need to turn to Allah in repentance in order to ward of His punishment, and make dua to Allah SWT to bring about a change in the condition of the Ummah.
