Recognising our true heroes

It is important to continuously nourish our Iman and strengthen our Yaqin by focusing on the Seerah of our beloved Rasul (SAW) and speaking about his illustrious Companions RA. We should speak about the status of Allah’s Nabi (SAW) until it becomes so deeply embedded that nobody else can ever overshadow his greatness in our hearts. In a world where there is so much of idol and hero worship, it is far more important to highlight the Seerah such that we and our progeny understand and recognise our true heroes. Our claim of great love for Nabi (SAW) and his Sahabah should not just be ‘lip-service’, but should be supported by our actions. We remain forever indebted to the galaxy of Sahabah-e-Kiraam RA due to their sacrifices, as a result of which Islam reached us. Sayyidina Abu Bakr Siddique RA and Sayyidina Umar Faruq RA are the foremost personalities from amongst the Sahabah, being the beloved Companions of Nabi (SAW) in life and after his demise. Allah SWT has conferred high status upon them for their sacrifices and loyalty to Nabi (SAW). It is a great fortune of this Ummah that we have been afforded the opportunity of, alongside Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW), conveying our Salaam and appreciation to these great personalities and securing their intercession. Those who follow the example of these true heroes with goodness will be included in the category of those whom Allah SWT is pleased with.
