Welcoming the guest of Ramadaan – Amanzimtoti Musallah

Allah SWT has given Believers the beautiful opportunity of Ramadan for a ‘new birth’ to materialise. It is understood from Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) that the person who safeguards Ramadan and takes it as a month of great virtue and reformation will see the benefits throughout the year. As soon as the moon of Ramadan is sighted, it is as if we have been given a ‘printing press’ to acquire unlimited ‘currency’ of the Akhirah! Allah SWT opens the treasures of His bounties and rewards in this month and gives so generously, without hisab! Furthermore, the generosity of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) particularly in fuyudh (spiritual effulgence) was like a fast blowing wind in the month of Ramadan. The Seerah is flowing with beautiful precedents and principles such as the concept of succession planning and the importance of learning languages, which are sufficient for the success and victory of the Ummah around the world, if we just took the time to study, understand and implement them. Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) would give a special khutbah before the arrival of Ramadan with guidelines encouraging the Sahabah to take maximum benefit from this important month. Nabi (SAW) mentioned that if the Ummah knew the greatness of Ramadan they would have made dua for it not to come to an end. When the ‘flight’ of Ramadan takes off, cut out all distractions so that we can make the most of this Mubarak month.
