Seerah lessons - reconcile and unite the hearts - Masjid-e-Yusuf, Parlock

Jumuah, at Musjid-e-Yusuf, Parlock on November 24, 2017

Nabi (SAW) had the most beautiful Akhlaq (character). His character reflected love, respect, affection, harmony & calmness. We have to duplicate His akhlaq in our everyday life to be successful in this world and Hereafter. But unfortunately, we have discarded our Nabi’s (SAW) Akhlaq. This is the main reason of the downfall of Ummah across the world.
The well-known incident of Hajr al Aswad, when the time to put the stone in its place came, all the tribes began to fight, but it was Nabi Kareem (SAW) who suggested way that the stone to be placed on a large cloth and all the leaders of the tribes hold the sides of the cloth. It was Nabi’s (SAW) beautiful approach that the fighting stopped there, and all rejoiced and became happy. Once there was a dispute between 2 companions regarding the non-repayment of loan. Nabi (SAW) resolved in such a beautiful manner that the dispute ended there. Another dispute between an Ansaar and Muhajir took place. They began shouting out to their respective clan: Nabi (SAW) warned them, “Don’t behave like the people of Jahiliyya”. Another incidence was once Nabi (SAW) was late for Salaah, when Sahaba enquired about this, they came to know that there was some dispute among people and Nabi (SAW) reconciled them.
So, from these incidents, we learn that there can be fights and arguments between family members, between friends, between brothers, between partners, etc. but we should always work for reconciliation and settlements. We must always remember that a little flame becomes a fire. Allah Ta’ala hates arguments and discard, especially Talaaq. That is why Allah Ta’ala has ordered for a third party or mediator to intervene, who should be neutral and wise and help to resolve the conflict. These are all the plots of shaitaan and we should seek Allah Ta’ala’s help and guidance.
