The dunya is a defective place

The dunya is a defective place

Zikr Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on January 28, 2021

These conditions which Allah Ta’ala brings in this world from His Hikmah (wisdom), should awaken us from our slumber and make us more alert and conscious of our purpose in this world and our destination i.e. the Akhirah. As one poet said: “Your feet are pointing in the direction of your grave but your gaze is towards the world; where are you heading and where are you looking?” We cannot change the direction of our feet, but we can change the direction of our gaze towards the Akhirah. Allah open our eyes before it is too late! Daily, we are receiving dozens of messages of the demise of righteous people from our own localities. The Hadith of Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam mentions that the pious will depart one after the other and the ‘riff-raff’ will remain. Allah include us in the group of the Salihin (righteous servants). This very evening, we had the demise of a very pious lady of our community, Aapa Gori (R), the wife of the illustrious Alim of our country, our beloved Hazrat Maulana Yunus Patel (R). May Allah grant her Maghfirah and raise her stages in the Akhirah. Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam encouraged speaking about the good attributes of the deceased, as a means of inspiration to follow in their footsteps, therefore a number of sterling qualities of Aapa Gori (R) were discussed. Our full focus and attention should be towards what will really count in the scale of deeds in the Court of Allah on the Day of Qiyamah.
