World in anarchy & chaos
Zikr Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on September 5, 2019
Ashaar: Ilahi ye Alam
The flower of joy and happiness is accompanied by the thorn of sadness. This is in essence the reality of this imperfect world, which because of the deeds of man, is in a state of anarchy and chaos! Conditions are difficult all over, so we have to look for practical solutions, and if we leave one part of the world, it should not be a case of going ‘from the frying pan into the fire’, Allah save us! At such times, when we are gripped with worries and fears, turn to the Qur’an and Sunnah. There is no grounds for a Believer to ever become despondent, as Allah SWT reassures us in the Qur’an to never despair of His Mercy. It is from the traits of the Believers that they are always hopeful and optimistic, believing that Allah will send His Help. Don’t place our trust in the asbaab (means) which are just created objects under the control of a Supreme Being, and by themselves cannot benefit or harm. Place our trust in Musabbibul-Asbaab, the Creator of the means, Allah SWT. From the tragedy of Karbala, lesson is taken that those far greater than us underwent greater tests, but they remained steadfast, adopted Sabr, remained connected to Allah SWT and they were successful. Focus on establishing and strengthening our relationship with Allah SWT and avoid immoral actions, extravagance and major sins which invite His displeasure. Then the problems of the world, like the waves of the ocean, can come and go, but if we have the lifeline of connection with Allah SWT in our hands, we will remain safe and protected.
