Ashaar: Nazr doonde ti he diyaare Madinah

The month of Rabiul Awwal has a close attachment to the biography of Nabi-e Kareem (SAW), but to confine discussions around his life and personality to this month will be a great injustice! The true Ummati of Rasulullah (SAW) is immersed in his Seerah every day and night of life! The Aashiq of Rasulullah (SAW) at every moment experiences a restlessness and desire to be in Madinah Sharif, every landmark of his city being a reminder of the Seerah and an object of reverence and love for the Believers, because of the nisbah (connection) with Rasulullah (SAW). The thorn when attached to the rose is valued as a part of the rose and accompanies the rose into the hand of the kings and emperors. Similarly, the ‘thorns’ of the Ummah become elevated by association with the spiritual ‘roses’ which are the Ahlullah, Baitullah, Raudha Mubarak etc. Unlike the thorn which cannot change its nature, countless examples are found of Allah SWT transforming sinful human beings of bad character – ‘thorns’ into ‘roses’. The outstanding stars of guidance - the Khulafa-e-Rashideen were the ‘butterflies’ around the ‘lamp’ of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW). Sayyidina Abu Bakr RA and Sayyidina Umar RA were chosen for his companionship even after his demise and our Salaam to Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) is incomplete without greeting them. By virtue of the beautiful sceneries and great personalities, the heart and soul become illuminated in the sublime city of Madinah!
