Zikr Majlis, at Mallington Musallah on January 11, 2018

We are living in challenging times where everyone has some problem or the other. Allah SWT warns us in the Holy Quran that there will be difficulties, but at the same time in Surah Inshirah reminds us to be patient, as hardships will be followed by good conditions. Today we find that when a person gets into a crisis he looks for a quick-fix solution, which often causes him to sink into deeper difficulty. Allah and Allahís Rasool (SAW) have given us clear guidelines on what to do at the time of crisis, which if followed will alleviate the problem. When faced with a crisis a person should do some introspection and then seek advice and guidance from those who are knowledgable and experienced to charter a course out of his difficulty. The solution given by Allah SWT in the Holy Quran is to take out some time at night, even if it is just 15 or 30 minutes to turn to Allah SWT and exert oneself in His remembrance. Seek forgiveness from Allah SWT, not only for yourself but for the whole Ummah, recite Durood Shareef, glorify Allah SWT by making His Zikr and if possible read a few Rakaats in emulation of Rasool (SAW). Most importantly, reflect on our own faults and weaknesses and be concerned about our reformation. By adopting this practice, over time improvements will be witnessed and a person will become spiritually strong.
