Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on July 31, 2017

Sultan Ibrahim bin Adham (R) was the embodiment of many amazing qualities. Great lessons and inspiration is taken from the incident in which he assisted a companion in dire need, for which he was given a beautiful and sincere dua. To obtain such a dua is true wealth for a Believer as it reaches the Arsh of Allah SWT. Ibraheem bin Adham (R) had such love for Khidmah that he once volunteered to grind wheat for an elderly couple, and once shielded his companions from an icy wind by standing in a dilapidated doorway of a Masjid for an entire night! The Pious Elders humbled themselves in the service of mankind, taking difficulty upon themselves for the comfort of others. Allah Ta’ala then raised their status, such that hundreds of years later they are remembered with great love and reverence. Ibraheem bin Adham (R) surpassed his contemporaries through his spirit of generosity. He mentioned, ‘Generosity and welfare has left the lives of people’. Today we are living in a selfish world, where those who have the ability to make a difference are so engrossed in indulgence, with no concern for the welfare of the poor and suffering. Sadly, even those who have Iman, yet squander the Ni’mahs of Allah SWT without a care for the poor in their midst. If we cannot give people in kind, at least display character and compassion toward them. We should take inspiration and pattern our lives on the lives of the Auliya, and adopt their qualities; for they had followed in the footsteps of Nabi Muhammad (SAW).
