There is no better motivation for a Believer than the direct Nasihah (advice) of our beloved Rasool (SAW). Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW} mentioned five unique characteristics granted to this Ummah relating to the month of Ramadaan, one of these being that Allah SWT grants forgiveness to the whole Ummah on the last night of this blessed month. Ramadaan is a month of barakah, and barakah is a very great ni’mat of Allah SWT. True friends encourage each other and compete in Amal-e-Saliha, especially in the month of Ramadaan. This striving causes Allah SWT to become pleased such that he boasts to the Malaikah about these servants. Every day and night of Ramadaan Allah Ta’ala frees a great number of souls from Jahannum, therefore we should beg Allah SWT for amnesty from the fire for ourselves, our family members, friends and all Marhoomeen. Every day and every night of Ramadaan there is a time when Dua is certainly accepted by Allah SWT, so we should ensure to utilise every one of the sixty ‘coupons’ of accepted Dua granted to us during this month. Dua is the essence of Ibadah, so amongst the various other acts of Ibadah, one should engage in abundant Dua during Ramadaan, The person who fasts in the month of Ramadaan with Iman, and Ihtisaab - having the conscious intention of obtaining reward from Allah SWT, then Allah Rabbul Izzat will forgive all past sins.
