Aashura & Our Ummah in Turmoil

Deliverance from tyranny happens only by the Command and Mercy of Allah Ta'ala as in the lesson of Bani Israeel and Firaun. Today our Ummah too is facing turmoil. We need to reflect on our blindness and occupation with the frivolous things of life. Aashura provides the chance to turn earnestly back to Allah Ta'ala and seek relief for our Ummah. Reflect on the difficulties faced in Karbala as the Ummah faces difficulties all round. We need to shake out of our unconscious state and take practical steps to become active and stop asking what the Ummah can do for us but to ask what we can do for the Ummah!
