Muid al-Niam wa Mubid al-Niqam by Imam Taj al Din al Subki, was written in response to a question he was asked about whether a lost favour, whether Dini or Dunyawi, can be regained. He uses that as a starting point to reflect on why blessings are preserved or lost in the first place.
