Appreciation and connection to the Qur’an - Hifz Jalsa - Stanger
Special Programme, at Musjid ut Taqwa on February 21, 2021
The occasion of Khatmul Qur’an is one of acceptance of Du’a. 4000 Mala’ikah attend, whose effect falls on the honoured ones chosen to be in that gathering. With appreciation, Allah Ta’ala guarantees the preservation of His favours and an increase in them. The physical bounties enjoyed in this country are indeed great, but the Ruhani (spiritual) bounties that we enjoy in the form of Iman, being from the Ummah of Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, the Qur’an, Ulama, Masajid and Madrasahs are boundless! The Ulama can be likened to the gardeners who make great sacrifice to nurture every student who is a flower, preserving and causing the garden of Deen to blossom and flourish. Reflecting on the vacuum created by those who have passed on into the Rahmah of Allah Ta’ala, let us not take the Ulama and institutions in our midst for granted. An appeal is made to the younger generation who have the onerous responsibility to rise up to the occasion; beg for acceptance from Allah Ta’ala and move forward with the mashwara of the Ulama in continuing the legacy and efforts left behind by the departed elders. Every Muslim should have an attachment to the Qur’an, endeavouring to memorise at least significant portions, engaging in its recitation, and reflecting on and practising upon its injunctions, as it is a great safeguard against the fitnas to come, especially with the approach of Qiyamah. It is an excellent means of honour for the Ummah.
