Greatness of the day of Arafah and the beauty of Eid

Today being the day of Jumuah and also the day of Arafah is a double bonus from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. There are so many rewards relating to the day of Arafah. Arafah has its greatness irrespective of Haj or not. It is a day of amnesty, forgiveness, mercy and blessings from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. It is a day for the Ibadah, for Tilawah and Zikr, especially the 4th kalima as exhorted by Nabi (SAW). Engage profusely in Dua, Arafah has special acceptance and Jumuah also. Make our time valuable and make the most of this great day. We will only regret if we miss these beautiful opportunities afforded to us by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. The night of Eid is a night of Ibadah, so try to read Salatut Tasbeeh. The beauty of Eid is in fulfilling the Sunnahs of Nabi (SAW) on this day. Try to search for Sunnahs, and ways to practice on them, for this will secure the intercession of Nabi (SAW) for us. Qurbani is a serious, special occasion, being a Sunnah of Ambiya alayhis mus salaam. It should be done in the spirit of Ismail alayhis salaam, according to the Sunnah and fulfilling the Aadaab of slaughter. May Allah accept from all.
