"Winning the hearts with Love & Mercy" - Masjid-us-Salaam, Sunford

Zikr Majlis, at Phoenix on February 11, 2016

Nabi ? mentioned in a Hadith Shareef ‘The best of people in the eyes of Allah SWT are those people who are the most beneficial to mankind.’ Nabi ? would personally assist the poor, sick, elderly and downtrodden of Makkah, even before Nubuwwat. We should follow in the footsteps of our beloved Master Rasool ? by having a desire to be of service to the people, the community and mankind through the wealth, skills, health and time Allah Ta’ala has given us. In the time of Nabi ?, and after his time Islam was spread through the service/khidmah to humanity and mankind. We are the ummah of ‘Rahmatulil Alameen’, and therefore are the ummat of love and mercy unto the world. By emulating this quality Allah SWT will completely turn the hearts’ of those who are our enemies and cause them to love this ummah. As learnt from the story of Hz Nizamuddin Awliya Rah we should aim to be the needles of muhabbah which unites people, rather than the scissors of hatred which cuts and divides people.
