Hazrat Uthman (RA) was the paragon of hayaa & modesty. He possessed such a high level of modesty that even the angels would feel shy in his presence. Regarding his generosity you may not find another person with that level of generosity in the Ummah. The spirit of generosity in the Ummah is diminishing. In the past, the bank balances were small but the hearts were big, today the bank balances are big but the hearts are small. We should make our investments for Aakhirah, to ensure that we have a stream of income for our Qabr & Aakhirah, in the form of Sadaqat-ul-Jaariya. This Ummah will not be able to ever repay Uthman (RA) for his favours on us. He was willing to give his life, but refused to retaliate when he had all the powers, in order to avoid bloodshed in the Ummah.
