Beware of Pride

Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on June 2, 2014

To attribute any of Allah's blessings to one's own achievement is pride.. & pride is the mother & root of all sicknesses from which only a few hearts are free. There is absolutely NOTHING that anyone has earned in such a way that he/she can be proud over. Whether it's knowledge, wealth, beauty, piety or spiritual achievements... any & every blessing, talent or achievement is FROM ALLAH! This reality needs to enter the deep crevices of our hearts, that never for a moment, even by mistake, we regard any Ni'mat as "MY doing!", "MY perfection!", "My efforts!", "MY capability!" We are insignificant, unworthy & are dependent on His Fadhl (bounties & gifts), Karam (He gives to the undeserving), Rahm (Mercy & Compassion) & Ihsan (Kindness). Continuous reflection & repetition of certain Aayaat can nurture this Haqeeqat (reality). Allah made His Nabi's (S.A.W) Tarbiyyat on this through the Qur'an & in it is our Tarbiyyah. Make plenty of Shukr... DAILY!! ..Allah will keep the Ni'mat. When Shukr begins to diminish, that's when the danger begins….
