17 Statements of Nabi (S.A.W) about His way of life – Part 5

Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on March 31, 2014

Continuing with the narration, statement 4 to 7 are discussed.

4 -"Shauq is my vehicle"
Shouq (the desire to behold & comprehend a beloved object) is the 4X4 of a Saalik that will take him easily, fast & far in his journey to Allah. It's an off-shoot of Muhabbat- the greater the Muhabbat the greater the Shauq.

5 - "Zikrullah is my consoler/intimate companion"
Zikr with Istiqaamat (steadfastness) is a fundamental pillar of Tasawwuf. The pious elders emphasised this greatly.

6 - "Trust in Allah is my treasure"
If only people could trust Allah like the birds which set out hungry in the morning & return full in evening!

7 - "Grief is my companion"
Nabi (S.A.W) went through series of grief. Divinely-inflicted grief & not self-inflicted grief is a blessing in disguise. It's a way in which Allah humbles His beloved servant & takes him to great spiritual heights which could not have, otherwise, been achieved.
