Tragedy of Syria – Our Response

Jumuah, at Musjid ut Taqwa on September 6, 2013

The suffering of the people of Syria is the worst tragedy of the century. If our hearts do not bleed or weep for their suffering and we continue to enjoy our way of life celebrating, merry making, turning a blind eye to their sufferings, then indeed our hearts have become hard/dead We should do our best by assisting them in whatever way possible and by lifting our hands in dua. These types of events should wake us up from our slumber of ghaflat /heedlessness / unmind fullness, it should make us think deeply about the level of our Imaan and Islam, it should make us change our lives and draw us closer to Allah and closer to Islam.
