The importance of the land of Shaam has been mentioned in many Ahadith. Biladus Shaam, the Levant or the Greater Syria encompasses a number of countries such as occupied Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan, southern part of Turkey, some parts of Iraq & current day Syria. These lands are blessed with the graves of Ambiya (AS), the graves of Sahabah(RA), the graves of Auliya, the graves of Ulama & the graves of great Leaders of the Ummah. It is important to know the history & to read the books on the Conquest of Shaam, so that we may draw inspiration & strengthen our Imaan. It is our duty to raise our hands & make dua for the people of Syria that Allah eases their sufferings & protect them from the oppressors.
