Overall, the condition around the world is grim and dark. At such times, we have to hold on very tightly to the ‘Rope of Hope’, by holding onto the actions and deeds that bring the Mercy of All?h. The more we turn to Allah ?Ta’ala, trying to please Him and appease His wrath, the better for us, our families and mankind. Without the Help of All?h, nothing on earth can save us, and if we have the Help of Allah, nothing can harm us! How many mayyits are taking place; many whom we have lost were people of calibre who were playing a pivotal role in the affairs of the Ummah. The lowly earth has ‘eaten up’ those who were high up in the skies, in terms of piety, knowledge and expertise. In this manner, knowledge will be lifted from the world until the ignorant will be taken as guides and will lead the Ummah astray, Allah Forbid! If the tragic circumstances surrounding us is not going to open our eyes, what further ‘alarm clock’ is required to awaken us from heedlessness into a state of spiritual consciousness? Take cognisance and become committed and serious in spending the capital of life in good deeds and preparing for the Akhirah. Allah warns us in the Qur’an of spiritually sick, dead and blinded hearts - sign after sign comes to them, but they remain oblivious! At least make the intention to become from the Salihin (pious) and do righteous deeds; the mercy of Allah is looking for one small excuse to forgive us and admit us into Jannah!
