Status on the basis of Qur’an - Hifzul Quraan Khatam - Musjid ut Taqwa

Special Programme, at Musjid ut Taqwa on December 10, 2020

In the time of Nabi-Karim Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, importance and status was accorded to people on the basis of their knowledge of Qur’an, to the extent of appointing the Ameer of delegations on this basis. At the time of the battle of Uhud, the seventy Shuhada whose blood watered the garden of Islam so it could be preserved and it should flourish, were placed in the Qabr on the basis of their knowledge of Qur’an. From this we see how much of importance Deenul Islam has attached to the knowledge of the Qur’an. When a person completes the memorisation of the Qur’an, it is such a great act in the eyes of Allah Ta’ala for which he gives many rewards, some which manifest in this world, but the major part of which will be seen on Yawmul Qiyamah. The crowns of glory, brighter than the sun which dazzle the eye, will be placed on the parents; then what will be the radiance of the crown of the Hafiz itself?! Allah Ta’ala will honour the Hafiz with 10 “passports” of Jannah to intercede on behalf of people condemned to the fire of Jahannam. On the occasion of Khatmul Qur’an, a much greater gathering than the human beings in attendance is that of 4000 Mala’ikah who are present. They enhance the honour of the gathering by reporting it to Allah Ta’ala, and say Aameen to the Du’as, therefore it is a special occasion of acceptance of Du’a.
