Taking Inspiration from the Lives of our Akabireen
Hazrat Moulana Azizur Rahman Hazarwi (R)
Hazrat Moulana Yusuf Tootla (R)
Hazrat Moulana Dawood Padia (R)
In recent times, many great Ulama have passed away in our country and around the world. The death of the Ulama is indeed a great loss and a matter of great concern for the Ummah, as with their passing, the light of their knowledge is extinguished and is replaced by the darkness of ignorance. The passing of Maulana Azizur Rahman Hazarwi (R), a personality well known to South African Muslims, and Maulana Yusuf Tootla (R) and Maulana Dawood Padia (R) from Stanger, a town known for its great Ulama and pious personalities in which Hazrat Shaikh Zakariyya (R) spent the last I’tikaf of his life, is a wake-up call to not take the blessing of knowledge and the presence of the Ulama in our midst for granted. Empower ourselves with the necessary knowledge of Deen to pull us through the various stages of life until we leave this world. A common aspect of inspiration in the lives of these 3 great Ulama is the tireless service they rendered to the Deen; their amazing Akhlaq and beautiful qualities, which shone forth in their lives; their love for Allah Ta’ala and His Rasul (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam); their concern, crying and Du’as for the Ummah; their outstanding love for the Haramain Sharifain, Zikrullah and Durood Shareef. Because they led lives of righteousness and piety, Allah Ta’ala blessed them with a beautiful ending to their lives. May Allah Ta’ala grant them the highest stages of Jannatul Firdaus, grant their families Sabr-Jameel, and grant us their auspicious company in the Aakhirah, Aameen.
