The Sermons of Nabi (SAW) Part 3

Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on June 29, 2020

On an expedition to Tabuk, Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and his Companions stopped at a place called Hijr, where the nation of Salih (AS) were destroyed. There, he addressed the Sahaba (RA), warning them against asking for miracles and taking admonition from the nation of Salih (AS) who hamstrung the she-camel they were sent by Allah SWT, and thus were destroyed by a terrifying scream. This is a reminder that a Mu’min takes admonition from the signs of Allah Ta’ala’s athab (punishment) and is reminded to repent lest such a fate befalls us, Allah save us! On the same journey, Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam delivered another sermon in which he reminded the Sahaba (RA) that whatever is prohibited and compulsory is from Allah SWT, and exhorted them to be moderate in seeking rizq, which pursues a person in an inevitable manner, just as death does, and to seek Rizq in the obedience of Allah SWT. May these beautiful gems of wisdom and enlightenment from the lips of our master, Nabi Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) enter the deep recesses of our hearts so we continue drawing inspiration from them until the end of our lives.

The Covid19 virus is raging, like a wildfire going out of control! This is a time to turn fervently to Allah Ta’ala, seeking His help and protection and to engage in abundant A’maal. Be positive and optimistic, and never for even a second have a bad opinion about Allah ?Ta’ala, as He deals with us according to our opinion of Him. Even in the midst of doom and gloom, always have hope in His Mercy!
