Covid 19 - Turn to Allah

Jumuah, at University of KZN (Howard College Campus) on March 13, 2020

It is important for us to have the proper understanding & perspective on this issue. An important principle is that not every plague is a punishment. A Believer is never at a loss. If we bear this test patiently, it is a ticket to paradise, a form of kaffaara & forgiveness from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. A tiny thing, invisible to the eye can bring mankind to its knees & overnight conditions all over the world can suddenly change. This is the power & might of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. We are supposed to firstly be mentally, psychologically, emotionally & spiritually prepared for the ultimate outcome. We should hand our matters over to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. That should be our outlook. There is the wisdom of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala in everything that happens & it is beyond our capacity & understanding. It is our Aqeeda that whatever Allah Ta’ala does is for our benefit & good. It is time to repent, rectify our mistakes, reform ourselves & to connect ourselves with Allah Ta’ala, to the Masjid, to Salaah, Quran, Zikr; connect ourselves to the pious & to the knowledge of Islam. Use this opportunity to assist people in whichever way possible. Appreciate the beauty of our Deen. The Sunnahs of Nabi (SAW) have great wisdom & advantage whether we understand them or not. Day by day the wisdoms of the Sunnah are being manifested to the world.
