Desirable Qur'anic Qualities 1/3

Jumuah, at Musjid ut Taqwa on January 18, 2019

Ten qualities mentioned in Surah Ahzab, are the qualities of success, by which a person will gain the greatest reward and maghfirah. We should strive to develop these qualities so that we can be recognised by them. Men and women have been mentioned separately to emphasise its importance. 1. Muslim: Islam is not just a claim or a name, there must be an outward manifestation of Islam. A Muslim should be recognised immediately. 2. Mu’min: the inner aspects should be in accordance to Allah’s commands- not questioning Allah’s orders and inwardly accepting everything wholeheartedly without any doubts, reservations or hesitations. If your good deeds make you happy and your sins make you sad, then you are a Mu’min. When a Mu’min commits a sin, he feels the weight of the burden of it until he makes taubah, but for someone without Imaan, his sin is like a fly sitting on him. 3. Qaaniteen: those who are obedient do not hesitate and are eager in carrying out Allah’s command immediately. 4. Saadiqeen: those who are truthful, they do not indulge in lies or deception. The greater meaning refers to that person who does everything according to its requirements. To fulfil every sunnah, mustahab and aadaab, and stay away from anything that is Makrooh or disliked. In our environment of deception and falsehood, Sidq is very important.
