24th Ramadaan Session 2 - Youth program

Ramadaan 2018, at Stanger on June 8, 2018

There are countless role models of youth in the annals of history such as the example of Zaid bin Thabit RA. As a young ad of only 11 years of age he had already learnt many chapters of the Quran. Nabi SAW kept him close to him, and instructed Zaid bin Thabit RA to learn Hebrew and Syriac. Thus as young people try to master many languages, as it sharpens the brain. In the last Ramadaan of Nabi SAW, Zaid bin Thabit had the special privilege of listening to Jibraeel AS and Nabi SAW recite the entire Quran to each other. This was a means of succession planning for the unique responsibility of knowledge and preservation of Quran which was given to Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit RA, Sayyidina Abu Bakr (RA) and Umar (RA) after the battle of Yamamah. He went about collecting the scripts and compiling the Quran which was known as Jam’ul Quran, the first compilation of the Quran. Choose a role model and aspire to be that person. Raise the bar and aim high.
