We have to learn to surrender ourselves completely before Allah SWT’s commands not hesitating to follow them, and not questioning them. The nature of human beings in this world is that we commit a lot of sins and errors, but we should not justify ourselves despite the environment being rife with opportunities for sin to occur. Instead we should consider ourselves weak and let the tears of remorse come to our eyes. If we find it difficult to shed tears we should make the form of a crying person, which is the solution provided by Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW). Even a parent will not be impressed with the child who pretends to cry, however Allah SWT is so Merciful He appreciates even the pretense of the Believer. Allah SWT is ‘As-Shakoor’ as He notices and rewards even the smallest of actions, and sometimes even makes these actions the means of a person’s salvation in the Aakhirah. We should be conscious of our sins at all times and constantly be asking Allah SWT for forgiveness. The numerous duas for forgiveness taught to us in the Quran Shareef indicate to us that Allah SWT is greatly desirous of forgiving us. Our hearts’ have become desolate through the heedless way in which we are living in this world, but with the Zikr of Allah and through abstaining from sin we can return our hearts’ to gardens of happiness and tranquility. The pleasure of sin is merely deception, therefore we should turn this pleasure into pain by remembering that Allah Ta’ala is watching us, the Angels are writing, death may come at any moment, and the severe punishment of the day of Qiyamah.
