Facets of the journey of Hajj - Seaview Musallah
Zikr Majlis, at Durban on July 21, 2016
Hajj is a very great Ibadah and is one of the best ways of expressing our loyalty to Allah Rabbul Izzat. In the poetry ‘Yaa Rabb tu apne fadhl se aana qubool kar’ Hazrat Mufti Radha ul Haq Sb DB explains the various rites of Hajj, and what feelings should be in the heart of the person at the time of performing these rites. Every action of Hajj is a display of love and absolute submission to Allah SWT. The water of Zam Zam is such that it is the envy of the springs and rivers of Jannah – Kauthar, Tasneem and Salsabeel. Zam Zam is so great as it is from the wing of Jibraeel AS, the heel of Ismaeel AS and contains the Mubarak saliva of our beloved Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW). In it is shifa as many have through the barakah of Zam Zam been cured from incurable diseases, and Allah Ta’ala will grant the benefit of whatever intention is made when drinking it. Hz Mufti saab explains how when standing in front of the Baytullah the tears flow and a person questions whether being there is a dream or reality. It is truly the good fortune of a person despite their sinfulness and disobedience to have been blessed by Allah SWT with the opportunity of standing in front of the Baytullah and walking that very same ground where the Mubarak feet of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) tread. There is no place where a person is closer to Allah SWT and His Rasool (SAW) as every action is an emulation of the actions of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW). A person should not be ashamed to go to Makkah and Madinah with their sins as during the journey of Hajj with every step Allah SWT grants maghfirat to a person.
