Seerah Focus - USWATUN HASANAH - A model of excellent conduct - Musjidus Salaam, Musgrave

Special Programme, at Musjidus-Salaam, Musgrave on September 5, 2024

When we speak about Nabi-Karim Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, in reality we cannot do justice to his praise; rather we earn the benefit and become praised by mentioning him. The objective of speaking about him is to get to know him and to love him more than anything else as this is the pinnacle of Iman which will earn us his intercession on Yawmul Qiyamah. Even before Nubuwwah, Nabi-Karim Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam displayed beautiful nobility. He was an integral part of Hilf al-Fudhool - a pact formed by noble youth of the Quraysh upon the plea of a man from the Banu Zabid tribe whose commodities had been usurped by ‘Aas bin Wa’il. After the advent of Islam, Nabi-Karim Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam praised this pact as being more beloved than red camels due to its noble objective. When bloodshed was about to occur between tribes for the honour of placing the Hajr al-‘Aswad after the reconstruction of the Ka’bah, it was the wisdom of Nabi-Karim Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam that diffused the situation with an inspired solution that allowed all to partake in the honour. Islam is not a matter of fulfilling rituals only; rather the Sunnah is the value system of Islam which promotes justice, virtue, reconciliation, peace, unity, kindness, solidarity, brotherhood and other noble values which is the purpose for which he was sent into this world, as he stated "I have been sent to perfect the highest modes of character" – Hadith.
