Reignite your love for Allah - Nurul Islam Masjid, Lenasia

Special Programme, at Nurul Islam, Lenasia on February 26, 2021

The purpose of Ittiba-Sunnah (following the Sunnah) is to acquire the love of Allah Ta’ala. One of the greatest ways of acquiring His love is to be in the company of His lovers, beautifully explained in the couplets of ‘Arif Billah, Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Akhtar Sb (R): “I learnt from Your true lovers how to give one’s life at Your door.” Whilst their striving appears difficult to us, the lovers of Allah Ta’ala are in a state of enjoyment, passing their nights consumed by His love! After the final I’tikaf of his life in Stanger, when he had reached the height of spiritual accomplishment, Qutbul-Aqtaab, Hazrat Maulana Shaikh Zakariyya (R) imparted three comprehensive and golden advices to the Stanger community: With your limbs, engage in Ittiba-Sunnah; with your tongue, recite abundant Durood Shareef; and with your heart, remember death frequently. Sahaba-Kiraam (RA) were real lovers of the Sunnah, seeking it like gold, silver and diamonds, and holding fast unto it for all their lives. Living in an era where we may be unable to practise on certain Sunan, always be remorseful in our hearts and wait eagerly for a day when we are able to practice them. The Barakah of dunya and Akhirah is tied to Durood and Salaam; try to read 300 daily, or a minimum of 100 at least. Through its Barakah all needs are fulfilled and Hifazat is gained from calamities and disasters. The beautiful couplets of Hazrat Khwaja Sb (R) remind us that this world is a place of admonition and lesson, whilst we await our departure for the journey of the Hereafter.
