Istigfar guarantees much rewards

Istigfar guarantees much rewards

Rajab and Sha’ban is a time in which we are required to engage in an abundance of good actions, in preparation for the Mubarak month of Ramadan. One of the best and most important of deeds is Istighfar - seeking forgiveness from Allah Ta’ala. In many places in the Qur’an, All?h Ta’ala has mentioned the benefits of Istighfar, which includes sending down abundant rain, an increase in wealth and children, orchards and flowing water in the form of springs and rivers. Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, used to seek forgiveness more than 100 times a day. Ulama have mentioned doing 100 000 Istighfar for the alleviation of any difficulty one faces, which is tried and tested. Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam enumerated 3 benefits of holding fast to Istighfar – the removal of worries and sorrows, a way out of every hardship and provision from unseen sources. Glad tidings for the person who will be congratulated by the Angels for abundance of Istighfar in his book of deeds, which will be a cause of celebration on Yawmul Qiyamah! Endeavour to make a practice of reading Istighf?r in abundance, as it is the ‘antidote’ for the poison of sin, which will save our spiritual lives.
