Deadly fitnas prevalent in our times
Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on February 8, 2021
Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam mentioned: “Fitna will descend upon your homes like the falling of the rain.” Allah Rabbul Izzat in His Mercy save and protect us! Indeed, we are living in times where all kinds of fitnas are descending; at such a times, safety and protection lies in constantly making Du’a, and holding onto the teachings of Deen. Many things have been given attractive names, but are in reality dangerous and deadly fitnas which are becoming more manifest in society, some examples of these being:
Freedom of speech – for a believer, there is accountability for every utterance
Courageousness and boldness – bad mannerism and disrespect shown to parents and elders
Confidence – lack of haya (modesty) which is a gateway to a lot of sins
Love – illicit relationships which are being condoned by parents
Fashion – immodest dressing of men and women
Entertainment – haraam activities where our ‘code of conduct’ as Muslims is forgotten
Recreation – activities which lead to sin.
Deen is easy, provided we remain within the limits and restrictions Allah has placed in enjoying His bounties and favours. If we transgress these bounds, we fall into haram and become involved in various fitnas, which are impossible to come out of, until a person may die in that state, Allah save us!
