Connecting the heart to Allah permanently - Musallah Rahmaniyyah, Overport<\/h2>

Zikr Majlis<\/a>, at Musallah Rahmaniyyah, Cannon Ave<\/a> on February 1, 2018<\/span><\/p>
\r\n

The person who adorns his life, looking for happiness in illicit love is in fact destroying himself. Life in this world is short and we have to fulfill the purpose of our creation by preparing for our meeting with Allah SWT and the Aakhirah. The person who attempts to satisfy the nafs by fulfilling its desires is like one who drinks salt water to quench their thirst \u2013 the more they drink, the thirstier they become. Furthermore, he is causing the Ruh to suffer and killing himself spiritually. The means and resources of the dunya are too limited to fulfill the desires of man, which are like the ocean-unlimited! Man\u2019s desires will only be satisfied in Jannah. We may not be constantly in Ibadah, but we can constantly be in Ita\u2019at (obedience) of Allah SWT. The essence of Sulook and Tazkiyatun Nafs is the effort to connect the heart to Allah SWT in such a way that the body automatically adopts His obedience. The heart which has the \u2018pain\u2019 of attachment \u2013 \u2018darde dil\u2019, which causes one to be conscious of Allah SWT at all times, is spiriutally alive and worthy of being called a heart. Remember Allah SWT by being compliant with His orders and He will remember us with His special Love, Mercy and Generosity. Make as much Zikr as possible, as the more profusely Allah SWT is remembered, the more He showers us with His Favours.<\/p>\n
