Some wonderful advices from the booklet \u2018The Value of Knowledge\u2019 by Shaikhul Islam Hazrat Mufti Taqi Usmani DB were discussed. No amount of material possessions of this world can equal even a small amount of knowledge of Deen. The people of the world may not appreciate the value of even one mas\u2019ala, however in the court of Allah this is a priceless commodity. If Allah SWT imbues us with even some part of knowledge we should regard this as a very valuable gift, much superior to all the material wealth of the world. All that a person owns will be reduced to dust, but knowledge will remain forever, and will materialise in the form of beautiful gifts from Allah SWT in Jannah. We should develop a true desire for knowledge so we may be considered amongst the \u2018Talibul Ilm\u2019 \u2013 the seekers of knowledge. The \u2018addiction\u2019 to knowledge must be such that a person is occupied with this pursuit \u2018from the cradle to the grave\u2019. Inspiration is drawn from the lives of two great Ulama, Hazrat Imam Abu Yusuf (R) who was the outstanding student of Imam Abu Hanifa (R), and Hazrat Mufti Azizur Rahman (R) who was the first Mufti of Darul Uloom Deoband. Hazrat Imam Abu Yusuf (R) passed the last moments of his life in discussion of Shariah and teaching mas\u2019aail, and Hazrat Mufti Azizur Rahman (R) death came to him whilst writing a fatwa! <\/p>\n
