Hadith of Jibra\u2019il (AS) \u2013 Summary of Islam and Ihsan<\/h2>

Zikr Majlis<\/a>, at Musjid ut Taqwa<\/a> on March 25, 2021<\/span><\/p>
\r\n

The Hadith of Jibra\u2019il (AS) is considered the summary of Islam, encompassing all aspects of the Sunnah therein. The incident in which a stranger with pitch black hair, pure white clothing and no signs of travel on him entered the gathering, sat knee to knee with Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam and posed a number of questions to him, addressing him by his name, which they were prohibited from and even Allah Ta\u2019ala does not do in the Qur\u2019an, caused Sahabah (RA) to be totally astonished. Yet they displayed the highest level of Adab (respect) when asked by Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam if they knew who the stranger was, referring it back to Allah and His Messenger. The mystery was resolved when Nabi-Kareem Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam informed them that the stranger was Jibra\u2019il (AS) who had through his questions presented them with a summary of the Deen. One part of that summary is the explanation of Ihsan \u2013 to be constantly aware of Allah Ta\u2019ala\u2019s presence. This integral part of the Deen also known as Tazkiyah, Takhliyah, etc. is to strive for the purification of the heart and soul, by adhering to the commands and prohibitions of Allah Ta\u2019ala and engaging in excessive Zikrull?h. Such a heart becomes worthy of absorbing the Nur of Allah Ta\u2019ala and along with His Nur, comes the consciousness of His presence; such people are successful in the eyes of Allah Ta\u2019ala, as mentioned in Surah Was-Shams.<\/p>\n
