Lessons from Muharram & Aashura
Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on October 12, 2015
Among the lessons of Muharram is that of the Hijrah. Sahaba (RA) made a great sacrifice when they had to leave beloved Makkah because of the evil schemes of the disbelievers. Life is a constant struggle... one test after the other. In the midst of hardship, when all odds are against you, think of the Hijrah... think of the Hijrah of Abu Bakr (RA) when he became anxious in the cave of Thaur and Rasulullah (SAW) comforted him with "Do not grieve! Surely Allah is with us." Allahu Akbar! What words of lman and Yaqeen! Allah prepares the Believers through His Quran... that we shouldn't think this world is going to be an easy ride. Life, here, will never be smooth-sailing. The closer a person is to the Ambiyaa (AS) the greater his tests will be. All difficulties will melt by following the prescriptions of the pious.
