Fragrance of Madinah - Musallah Rahmaniyyah

Zikr Majlis, at Durban on September 10, 2015

This poem titled " I am sitting in Masjid Nabawi" beautifully describes this wonderful experience. As if a person is getting a beautiful fragrance there, but this is only if ones spiritual sinuses are unblocked. He feels like he is in a beam of Nur, sometimes he sends Durood, sometimes he makes dua and sometimes he recites verses of poetry. He asks himself, 'What good fortune this is,is it a dream or is it reality?'

From a young age we should create the love and desire in the hearts of our children to perform Hajj & Umrah. Hajj should be done when one is young, as it is a strenuous journey. People in Cape Town who were not wealthy used to put the change from the milk and bread money into a money box, and lo and behold, when they made the decision to go for Hajj and opened it, Allah put barkat and they were able to perform Hajj. In the same way, encourage our children to save in a money box or Hajj account and create that enthusiasm within them.

We are now entering a high Spiritual season,it is like a mini Ramadaan, starting from the 1st Zil Hijjah and terminating with Eid Ul Adha which commemorates the great act of Qurbani (sacrifice). One fast equals a whole year of fasting and one night in Ibadaah, equals ibadaah of Laylatul Qadr.
