"Die before your Death" - Hadith

Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on May 11, 2015

At the time of death, the dying man possesses certain attributes, the inculcation of which is exhorted in the Hadith: "Die before your death." These attributes which are in a perfect state in the dying man are: Taubah (repentance), Zuhd (abstention), Qanaa'at (contentment), Tawakkul (trust in Allah), Tawajjuh ilallah (focus towards Allah), Sabr (patience), Ridaa (pleased with Allah), Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) & Muraqabah (meditation). When Islah is made & one's Akhlaq resembles this, one will not be overwhelmed by anything, whether insults, worries or cravings, and his heart will remain firmly connected with Allah. This is the way of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). This is the life, which Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) desired for his Ummah.
