Lessons from the Conquest of Turkey - Part 2

Islahi Majlis, at Musjid ut Taqwa on August 25, 2014

On conquering Istanbul, Sultan Muhammad Faatih immediately implemented the golden Islamic rule of religious tolerance. People of other faiths bear testimony to the harmony that prevailed & even preferred Muslim rule. The world stood in awe of the Ottomans. ..But after 850yrs of power, in 1923 the Uthmani Khilaafah (Ottoman Empire) collapsed.. now, look at the Ummah, how weak we are that nobody cares!

The BIG question is, "What factors led to the fall of the Khilaafah??" ..When riches, luxury & beautification of palaces & gardens & garments became the focus & purpose; immorality, tyranny, inter-fighting, corruption & complacency set in; Islamic learning was ignored; wine, women & music became rampant, that's when the decline set in. If an individual, family or nation indulge in these factors that brought the Ottomans down, they too will come down!

If we lose our Deen, our Dunya will also be lost. If we come back to Deen, then Dunya is ours, victory is ours & ultimately Aakhirah is ours.
