The blessings of Ramadaan - Musjid-e-Noor, Asherville
Ramadan is a month of such blessing that we will never witness in the 11 months of the year.
The Ulama are unanimous that the amount of Islah, Tazkiyah,Tarbiyah and Ihsan that a person can achieve in Ramadan cannot be replaced in the other 11 months of the year.
The Kayfiyah of Ihsan that is acquired in the month of Ramadan is not possible to achieve in the 11 months of the year.
If we reap the benefits of Ramadan, the rest of the year will go well.
Allah Ta'ala has allocated the middle period of this month for Maghfirah. It is like an amnesty period. By raising our hands to Allah, and shedding a few tears, Maghfirah is gained.
Those who were deficienct in the month of Ramadan, Allah extends the amnesty to Eid and a person is still able to repent and obtain the benefits on the morning of Eid.
Ramadan is a month of freedom from the fire of hell. We must frequently and regularly ask Allah for freedom from the fire of hell.
Ramadan gifts us the Kayfiyah of Ihsan (Allah consciousness). Ramadan promotes good health, by fasting we detoxify our bodies. Ramadan brings the gift of sympathy and solidarity for the poor.
Dont waste any benefit in Ramadan, reap the rewards of Ramadan. Nabi SAW used to wakeup his family late at night to gain the rewards of Ramadan.
The reward of sitting in i'tikaaf is equivalent to the reward of 2 Haj and 2 Umrah. May Allah grant us Laylatul Qadr, a night equivalent to a 1000 years of ibadah.
There are opportunities for the sisters to sit in i'tikaaf. This is an ibadah even for the women.
