After Imaan, there is no greater blessing to ask for than Aafiyat (wellbeing). However, if the test of sabr comes without bringing it upon oneself, one should not become so overwhelmed & panic stricken that it distances him from Allah Ta’ala. Make Tafweez – hand all matters to the only One Who can help. Sometimes, sabr elevates one to such spiritual heights in such a short time which cannot be achieved through years of Ibaadat with Aafiyat. Those who are extremely close to Allah Ta’ala face extremely severe tests: like Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (R), etc. This temporary hardship leads to the everlasting comfort of the Hereafter.
