Love & Compassion for the Muslim Ummah
Jumuah, at Musjid ut Taqwa on July 27, 2018
Hajj is a means of forgiveness for the whole Ummah. Allah Ta’ala accepts the duas of the Haaji on behalf of whoever he asks. Allah Ta’ala loves the action of compassion, & it is a trait of siddiqiyyat. To have love, compassion, seek forgiveness & make dua for the Ummah is on the pattern of Abu Bakr radiallahu anhu. Allah Ta’ala gives tremendous reward & elevates such a person’s status to mustajaabud da’waat. On the contrary, to insult & condemn the Ummah is a sign of a person who is on the path of destruction. We should not make negative comments, even though there are weaknesses within the Ummah, but we must be constructive, because there are many positives as well. The attitude of Nabi (SAW) was that everything was for the Ummah- his duas, crying & concern was due to his extreme love for his Ummah. Those who follow in the footsteps of Nabi (SAW) and Siddeeq (RA) by having compassion for the Ummah, Allah Ta’ala will shower His special mercy upon him.
