Poetry: ‘Makhmoore hawaao me dil chaspe nazaaro me’

We are less than forty days from witnessing the great Ibadah of Hajj and the excitement in the Ummah is building up. Hajj is not only for the Hujjaaj who have the great fortune of standing in front of Raudha Mubarak, Baitullah and performing the rites of Hajj, but it is for the whole Ummah. The poetry recited speaks about the desire for Madinah that is in the heart of every Believer. The one who is fortunate to meet his end in Madinah gets a place amongst the lamps of Nabi-e-Kareem (SAW) i.e. amongst the galaxy of the stars of the Sahabah-e-Kiraam RA. No words can truly describe the beauty of Madinah! The air of Madinah is perfumed with a beautiful spiritual fragrance and the sights and scenes of Madinah are filled with beauty. Only a person who has been to Madinah can appreciate what it is to experience the atmosphere and feeling there. In the tranquil ‘garden’ of Madinah a person forgets the worries of the world. It is such a place where darkened hearts become enlightened and a person experiences the true sweetness of Iman, being constantly engaged in the Zikr and Ibadah of Allah SWT. Tilawah in Madinah, the very place where Qur’an was revealed, has a special delight which cannot be experienced elsewhere. The status of Madinah amongst the cities of the world is like sparkling diamond in the ring! Clouds of mercy hang over Madinah and the Green Dome is the outstanding ‘rose’ in the beautiful ‘garden’ of Madinah. It is the right of Madinah that we learn the etiquette and conduct of this beautiful city if we really want to benefit, as the one who misbehaves there will suffer great loss!
