Being intoxicated by the wine of love of Allah - Masjid As Siddique (North Beach)
Poetry: Naye Jaamo Meena A’taa Ho Rahe He
It is a sign of true Iman that the love of Allah SWT is greater than the love of everything else. Such intense love is the right of Allah SWT and the demand of loyalty and appreciation, as He brought us into existence and continues to sustain and provide for us. Those who love Allah intensely demonstrate their love by staying away from that which disconnects them from Him, giving preference to His order over the perishable idols of this world. Allah SWT has prohibited the wine of this world to protect us from its’ harms; but will provide pure wine for the Believers to enjoy in Jannah. In this world however, those such as the Auliya Allah, who drink the pure and potent ‘wine’ of Iman and Nisbah ma’Allah (connection with Allah) experience a constant state of spiritual ‘intoxication’ such that nothing worries or affects them. These loyal servants give their hearts only to Allah and are prepared to sacrifice their lives, wealth etc., for the cause of Islam. Every Mu’min can acquire this state of intense love for Allah SWT, by walking on the path and learning the methodology from the Auliya Allah. Then on the Day of Qiyamah, we will acquire the success of presenting Allah SWT with a sound heart. Whilst we are enjoying security and ease, we should remember, make dua and do whatever we can to assist the Muslims around the world, especially in Ghouta, Sri Lanka and elsewhere, who are facing difficult conditions and untold suffering.
