Sunnah Solutions for the Current Crisis of the Ummah
There are many angles to the life of our Beloved Rasulullah (sallahu alaihi wasallam). When we ponder, reflect and study the Seerah of Nabi (sallahu alaihi wasallam), we will discover many aspects and see the relevance of the Seerah to the situations we are finding ourselves in, throughout the world today. In fact at all times, solutions to the challenges faced by the Ummah will be found in the Seerah of Rasulullah (sallahu alaihi wasallam).
There is a deep gash, a wound that is bleeding in the body of the Ummah. The suffering of the Ummah in Syria, Burma, Palestine and Kashmir etc. Each are big wounds. Such dark days. Let us look at the Seerah of Nabi (sallahu alaihi wasallam). Hazrath Hasan (radi allahu anhu) reported from Hazrat Hind bin Abi Hala (radi allahu anhu) that Nabi (sallahu alaihi wasallam) was:
1. A peron who was always in a state of grief, worry and concern.
2. Always in thought (pondering and reflecting).
3. He was never at peace or at ease (always in motion, never in heedlessness).
4. He would remain silent for long periods of time (due to deep thought and planning).
Nabi’s (sallahu alaihi wasallam) worry, concern and thoughts were on how could the Ummah improve, progress and become successful. We see from the example of Nabi (sallahu alaihi wasallam) that this dunya is a place for action and doing, not for relaxing, nor wasting of time rather.
Nabi (sallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “The best of people are those who are beneficial to people.”
We should always strive to be the best in uplifting, showing concern and striving for the mankind. We should assist the needy, and resolve the problems and difficulties of the Ummah. Insha Allah this harkah (motion/movement) will bring barkah (blessings/goodness) and solutions will be found.
