Ashaar: Hifazat Nazr<\/p>\n

The worst of places in the eyes of Allah SWT are the markets, due to the environment of transgression, vice and negligence. The opposite are the places of Salah, which are thus the best of places! The Qur\u2019an describes two types of gateways \u2013 that of Jahannam through which people will be driven and flung into the hellfire, Allah save us! And the gateway of Jannah through which the fortunate will be ushered with honour and dignity, Allah make us from amongst them! Similarly, in this world there are gateways to vice and virtue. In the poetry, \u2018Hifazat Nazr\u2019, Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sb (R) explains the importance of guarding and averting the gaze in places of temptation. Be careful when going to a mall, not to get \u2018mauled\u2019 by the \u2018tiger\u2019 of nafs and the \u2018wolf\u2019 of shaytan! The result of failing to protect the gaze is nothing but restlessness and turmoil! In such a time of fitnah, the shaytani influences being in \u2018overdrive\u2019 in the world, we have to hold on tight to our Iman. Be content with what Allah has made Halal and He will grant unlimited bounties in the Akhirah! But, if one craves and runs towards haram, the peace of one\u2019s heart will be destroyed and Iman wrecked, Allah protect us! Don\u2019t foolishly attach the heart to \u2018skeletons\u2019, which will only haunt and ultimately cause one disgrace. Rather adopt obedience to Allah, keep the glances low, engage in Zikr and good deeds that will benefit us in the Qabr and on the Day of Qiyamah. Allah Ta\u2019ala grant Taufeeq.<\/p>\n
