Make our houses into homes not hotels<\/h2>

Jumuah<\/a>, at Musjid ut Taqwa<\/a> on December 13, 2019<\/span><\/p>

The end of the year is the ideal opportunity for us to focus on how a Muslim home is supposed to be. There is a distinction between a house and a home. A home is a place of psychological, emotional and spiritual energy and life. A huge palace could be merely a house, whereas a simple shack could be a home! Nabi (SAW) Sunnah is the best demonstration of how a house should be made into a home. Allah Ta\u2019ala gives us the instruction, when you enter, make Salam. Enter with a mind-set of goodness, smiling. The family should be full of love. Make Mashwara, without shouting, in a spirit of consultation. Nabi (SAW) set the example of playing with children and grandchildren. The irony of today with the smartphones is that the means of connection and communication is the very means of our disconnection. Devices need to be limited. A time should be set aside for Zikr, Taleem and Tilaawah. Unfortunately today our homes are haunted, like graveyards because of the lack of Zikr, Taleem, Tilawah and Sunnah, which automatically drive away negative forces from the home. Good A\u2019maal chases the shayateen away. Go on holiday with the right niyyah and do everything within the ambit of Shariah. Be particular about Halal food, dress code, Salah and our conduct as muslims<\/p>\n
