The anecdote discussed from the Mathnavi Shareef of Maulana Rumi (R) is regarding the person who wanted a lion tattoo, but was unable to bear the pain, leading to him being chased away by the tattooist! This incident refers to the days of jahiliyyah (ignorance), as tattoos are prohibited in Islam and the Hadith of Nabi ? states, \u2018Allah\u2019s curses be upon those who tattoo and are tattooed\u2019. Maulana Rumi (R) draws the similitude between the person in the anecdote and the Muslim who finds it difficult to take the \u2018pain\u2019 of practicing aspects of Islam, such as the five daily Salah, fasting in Ramadan etc. Allah SWT made Islam easy, but some sacrifice is required! What kind of Muslim is a person if there is no sign or practice of Islam in his life?! Allah SWT commands us in the Qur\u2019an to enter into Islam completely; if we accept to be Muslim, we have to accept and practice on all the teachings of Islam and failing to do so is following in the footsteps of shaytan. There are five categories in Deenul Islam which every Muslim should have in their lives: Aqeedah, Ibadaat, Muasharah, Muamalaat and Akhlaaq. Muasharah, referring to social dealings, is a particularly emphasised aspect of Deen, as a Muslim should not cause inconvenience to any one in any way. If we find certain aspects of Deen difficult to practice because of our weakness, take the pain in this dunya; we will find that not only will it become easy, but enjoyable, and we will gain great rewards in the Aakhirah! <\/p>\n
